Triskelion Singapore participated this local event and once again, we were the first and only Filipino organization to be part of their event. We had a successful photo booth stall and our very own Triskelion Singapore Acoustic Band performed in front of a local audience.
We were able to raise a little less than $200 for the said event, all of which were donated to Metta. Not that much but still our own little way to help them, nothing beats your time and presence there especially to our very own brods who performed (Brods Rodney Ramirez, Jason Deseio, Boying Rodriguez, and Arnulfo Ragadio).
We were all glad to be part of this and at the same time to raise funds for the beneficiaries. It was indeed priceless!
Last March 9 we attended the meeting with the Filipino community together with the President of the Philippines, Benigno Aquino III. It was a fruitful event as P-Noy addressed the Filipinos here in Singapore regarding the current economic situation back in our home country. He also discussed some of the infrastructure projects that have been done so far as well as the plans going forward.
Triskelion Singapore Council was there to grace the occasion.
Following the tradition of new heads of states of Association of Southeast Nation (ASEAN) member-countries, President Benigno Aquino III is set to undertake state visits to Indonesia and Singapore next week. Aquino will be in Indonesia from March 7 to 9 and in Singapore from March 9 to 11. During the President’s state visits, he will also meet the Filipino communities in Jakarta and Singapore. TAU GAMMA PHI – Triskelion Singapore was invited to take part in this event.
“As community leaders here in Singapore, this rare opportunity marks another milestone in our quest of forging a better relationship with our government and understanding their thrusts, especially those affecting the concerns of our fellow OFWs.” – Philippine Embassy, Singapore
